OSHA investigators arrived in Geneva, NY on Thursday, November 30th 2017 and began an accident investigation which had occured previously at Ccn International, Inc.. A 47 year old man working as a Pressing machine operator was injured on the job when the employee's fingertip was amputated in pinch point of rollers

NarrativeAt 5:30 a.m. on November 27, 2017, Employee #1 was preparing to run a glue machine. There was a dried piece of glue impeding the roller movement. The employee reached through an opening in the roller guard to retrieve and remove the quarter size piece of dried glue. Upon removal of the dried glue piece, the rollers engaged, and his finger was pulled into the pinch point of the rollers. The employee tripped the safety bar, which reversed the roller direction and released his finger. Employee #1 suffered an amputated right index fingertip.
