NarrativeAn employee suffered two broken ankles while hoisting a scale using an overhead crane. The scale had just been painted and was being lifted from a floor platform to be moved to an adjacent area for drying. The employee was raising the scale off the floor platform, taking up the slack of the rigging, when the scale slid off the platform and struck the employee's feet. Both ankles were broken from the impact.

NarrativeEmployee #1 was removing the tie-down straps on a flat-bed semi-trailer that was loaded with an old drive-on weighing scale. The employee loosened the straps on the driver side and walked around to the passenger side of the trailer to remov e the straps. He was standing beside the trailer rolling up a strap, when a piec e of pipe rolled off of the trailer and struck him on the side of his body. He w as transported to the hospital, where he died three days later.
