NarrativeAt 8:00 p.m. on October 24, 2017, an employee was working at a combined cotton gin and peanut processing facility. The narrative did not state which process was involved in this incident. NarrativeAt 2:00 p.m. on October 22, 2017, Employee #1 was removing cotton balls from a ginning machine. His left hand came in contact with a spinning rotary knife. The rotary knife scraped the back of his left hand and amputated his ring finger at the first joint. Employee #1 was hospitalized for his injury.

NarrativeAt 9:00 a.m. on October 24, 2016, an employee was picking up loose cotton on th e paved connector (drive). A coworker, driver of the front end loader, had a r ound bale of cotton on the prongs of the front end loader. He was taking the ro und bale of cotton to the Gin's feeder. As the driver was driving north on the paved connector (drive) he did not see the employee. he round bale of cotton h it the employee and he was run over by the right side tire of the front end loa der. The employee was killed and sustained a crushed chest and abdomen.
