NarrativeAt 11:15 a.m. on February 13, 2014, Employee #1 was operating a powered press (Dake Dura Press Force 10 DA, Serial Number 1070926). He placed a titanium part onto the tooling plate and put an aluminum block above the part for it not to be gouged by steel which press is made of. He noticed the part had slipped off center plate and tried to reposition it on the plate with his left hand and apparently hit the press plate knocking it downward. It caught Employee #1's finger under the plate which cut and crushed the tip of his left middle finger. He was transported to St Joseph Hospital, where he was treated for his injuries.
