NarrativeAt 12:15 p.m. on December 6, 2017, an employee was observing the operations of the company's #4 Hayssen Bagging Machine, Model 12-16SF, Serial # 086013, because it was not operating properly and the bags were jamming. While observing, the machine jammed and the employee began pulling down bags toward the machines jaws. The employee caught his left hand ring finger in the machines jaws when it cycled and amputated his fingertip. Hospitalization was not required.
