NarrativeAt 8:00 a.m. on September 22, 2017, Employee #1 was cutting wooden board into strips, using a Powermatic 66 table saw. The board became pinched between the blade and the fence. The employee reached over the saw blade to the other side of the board, just as the the blade jumped. Employee #1 sustained an amputation to the distal tip of his right thumb.
