NarrativeAt 8:22 a.m. on December 12, 2017, an employee was working at a grape vineyard. He was operating a John Deere tractor. He was using the tractor to pull a shredder through a vineyard to shred canes that had been cut from the vines. The tractor suddenly went into neutral. The employee called to report the condition to a coworker. They agreed that the employee would look under the tractor in an attempt to resolve the problem. The tractor was still running. While he was lying down between the right front and rear tires, the employee saw a cane stuck under the tractor. When he pulled on the cane, the tractor went from neutral into reverse. The front tire ran over his head and torso. He sustained multiple facial fractures, left rib fractures, and right pelvic fractures. He was hospitalized.
On Friday, August 18th 2017 OSHA reps took a report of a serious accident in Bakersfield, CA after learning of an incident at Giumarra Vineyards Corporation which had occured on Monday, July 10th 2017. A 42 year old Laborer had been injured when the

NarrativeAt 10:10 a.m. on July 10, 2017, Employee #1 was picking and packing table grapes at a vineyard. The crew boss noticed that the employee began to show signs of confusion and irrational behavior. The crew boss notified the supervisor of his observations, and the supervisor sent someone to pick up the employee and take her to the clinic. Employee #1 sat in the shade while she waited for a ride. A non-emergency vehicle transported the employee to a local hospital where she was admitted. While at the hospital, the employee suffered multiple seizures, and was placed into a medically induced coma. On July 12, 2017, Employee #1 was transferred to a larger facility, where she remained until discharge on October 2, 2017. It was determined that her illness was due to natural causes.

NarrativeOn June 4, 2017, an employee was using a lawnmower when the mower blade became entangled with some wire. He pulled the mower into the barn and lifted the mower using a jack and a makeshift jack stand. While under the mower, the jack kicked out, causing the mower deck to fall on top of him. He was crushed and killed.
