NarrativeAt 11:15 a.m. on March 1, 2012, the Santa Rosa District Office was notified by an employer of a serious illness to an Employee #1. The employer operates a spa and nail salon. Employee #1 was diagnosed with Staff infection, and he was sent home with antibiotics. The infection did not improve, and the employee went back to the doctor. Employee #1 was admitted to Healdsburg Hospital, where he remains. The district office initiated an inspection.

NarrativeOn December 3, 2011, Employee #1, of Van Ngo Dba Euro Nail Spa, was performing her duties in the salon. Tea candles were lit and placed near a jar of nail polish remover. It was believed that vapors from the nail polish remover were ignited by the burning tea candles. Employee #1 was close to the jar and her clothing caught on fire. As a result, she suffered second degree burns to her body. She was transported to the hospital and treated for her injuries.
