NarrativeAt 4:25 a.m. on August 23, 2017, an employee was prepping to melt wax out of a investment cast mold and he was securing the oven door hatch with locking pins. The employee crushed and amputated his fingertip when the oven door dropped on it. Hospitalization was not required.

NarrativeAt 3:15 a.m. on March 24, 2017, an employee was replacing an electrode on a foundry furnace and tried to kick a broken piece of the electrode away from him. The employee set his pants leg on fire which overheated the lighters in his pocket, causing them to explode. The employee was hospitalized and treated for third degree burns to both legs.

NarrativeAn employee was tipping a pouring cup into a mold (to mark it as bad) while his right hand was on the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt automatically moves when it's ready for the next mold. When it moved forward, his hand became caught between the mold and conveyor belt, amputating his right pinky fingertip.
