The industry has shown a significant reduction in workforce , at least in the last reported period between 2014 and 2015. Over 388 employees lost their job in that period, a loss of -1.8%. The most recent numbers show a total of 421 businesses currently operating in the Air and Gas Compressor Manufacturing industry. With OSHA reported accident rates of less than that of the the Pump and Compressor Manufacturing Industry as a whole, things have been relatively safe over the past five years.
