NarrativeOn August 18, 2009, Employee #1's left foot bumped a raised vinyl floor seam in the second-floor kitchenette. As Employee #1's body twisted, she heard her left femur snap. Employee #1 grabbed the counter top with her cone in her right hand and remained standing until paramedics took her to California Pacific Hospital. She had surgery on a fractured left femur and was hospitalized for several days. It was found that the injury was caused by the obstruction on the kitchen floor .
